Celebration

Celebration, Florida is a 4,900-acre new town developed by The Celebration Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. Located just south of Walt Disney World, near Orlando, Florida, Celebration was founded in 1994 on the cornerstones of place, community, health, education and technology. Today, Celebration is a thriving town with over 3,000 residences, schools, offices, hotels, retail shops, numerous neighborhood parks and a hospital.

Celebration, FL was hailed as the "most advanced community in the country from 1996 to 1998" by the Guinness Book of World Records, and has been called the most significant new town in America since the 1920's. It serves as benchmark for design and development professionals across the world. Celebration Associates founding partners, Charles Adams and Don Killoren, led the planning, design and development efforts for Celebration. FL. Joseph Barnes was Celebration's first Town Architect.
